Jumping on the BB Cream Wagon

I haven't blogged in ages. I moved homes again and started a new job. I am excited about my new job and kind of worried for all that needs to be accomplished. Enough of that on to what my post is really about.

Now I love makeup up trends but I was so hesitant in buying a BB cream. When tinted moisturizers were all the rage this oily faced girl tried to pull it off. They had no coverage and within an hour I was an oily mess.

So with that said you see why I hesitated in buying a BB cream. After hearing so much about them I finally broke and purchased one. I ended up picking up the L'oreal Magic Skin Beautifier B.B. in medium. I picked this one over all the other because...

 1. It's conveniently found almost anywhere

2. The small price tag, $7.99.

3. Judy from It's Judy Time on Youtube stated it stay matte longer than the other one she tried.

I actually love this product. Now it is not full coverage by any means but it does leave my skin feeling soft, and it allows me to blend in my concealer flawlessly on the stops that need more coverage.
I do still end up getting shiny at the end of the day but I do love if for what it is. The crazy thing about this BB cream is that it is white. Yes, white! And then it blends into your skin.
Straight out of the tube.
Slightly blended.

Completely blended in.
You see I told you it blends into your skin!!

I would recommend you picking this up if you are looking for a BB cream. I am actually thinking about ordering some Korean BB creams online since I have heard they are better than any of the ones sold here in the US.

What do you think? Have you jumped on the BB Cream wagon?

Rimmel Lipstick: Pink Blush

I fell in love once again. I don't know what it is about pink lipsticks that just hook me in. Is it because I want to look like Barbie? Well I found another winner!!
This lipstick doesn't have a disturbing smell and glides on just nicely. It has no real moisturizing feel to it but it isn't drying either. Last about 2-3 hours.

All in all I think it's great and will only set you back about $5.00.
Yay, it's almost the weekend!!

Recent Purchases: Bath & Body Works

I love Bath and Body Works candles. They last so long and burn so clean. When I was doing some back to school shopping I noticed that they were on sale, 2 for $20.  So here is what I picked up.

The candles regular price is $19.50. It is like buy one get one free, or 50% off. Any way you cut it your getting a good price on some awesome candles.

Coconut Water smells well like coconut. I loved the scent so much that when I got home I opened this candle and tried it right away. I was a little disappointed because the scent wasn't as strong as I usually get with these candles.

Seashore is such a clean smell. It reminds me of clean laundry type of smell. This is the type of candle smell that I ususally buy. It doesn't at all resemble the smell that I associate with the seashore but, I love it anyways.

Caribbean Escape  is a sweet girly smell. I am not good with smells but the bottom of the candle describes this as "a passionate concoction of juicy melon, raspberry nectar and Italian lemon, tempered with creamy coconut milk and raw sugarcane."

Ice Cream Shop smells so sweet, just like an ice cream shop.  I never buy candles that smell this sweet but my little boy begged me to pick it up. I am just nervous that I will get a headache while this burns.

As I checked out the cashier let me know that I could grab this bag, valued at $80 for just  $20 because my purchase was over $30.

The bag comes with my favorite scent, Paris Amour and contains a loofa, lip gloss, hand sanitizer, body wash, body lotion, and body spray. What a value! I am not sure if am going to keep this for myself or give it away as a gift yet.

I am so happy I stopped in.
What are your favorite candle scents?

Review: MAC Blot Powder

Summer time is not the best time for us oily skin girls. I get tremendously oily on my T-zone, especially my forehead. I needed something that would help in this time of heat.

I used to just carry around press powder, then came blot papers . Still looking for something better I went out on the hunt.

About two years ago I purchased MAC Blot Powder, in Medium Dark. It was supposed to be the best of both worlds. A press powder that acted like a blot sheet. It does not  leave any color behind it is just oil control powder.

It comes in a classic mirrored compact, with a powder puff.

I know that the shade Medium Dark  makes me think of something a little darker but this powder really leaves absolutely no pigmentation on the skin. It is crazy to think that since my powder puff is so dirty. It comes in a total of five shades but my MAC girl says that all five don't live any true pigmentation.

The Good:
-It does "eat" up the oil on my skin, leaves skin looking matte.
-Doesn't leave you cakey feeling.

The Bad:
- It wears off quickly.
-Although my face looks matte after using it I still feel oily
-It will set you back about $23

Would I recommend it?
For really oily girls like myself I would not recommend it. If your don't feel like a total grease ball but get a little shiny then it might work for you.

Would I repurchase it?
No, it didn't work out the way I planned, and for the price it isn't worth it. I have had this for about two years and I haven't even hit pan. I usually just carry it in my bag because of the mirror.

Have you tried this product?
What do you use to control your oil?
